EMPOWER TODAY PROGRAMS
Empower Today: Meeting Immediate Needs
Community Composting & Recycling Workshops
Green Roots
Free monthly workshops held at Maryland libraries and community centers teaching adults practical composting and recycling skills. We demonstrate simple home composting systems and empower residents to reduce waste in their own households.
Reducing Single-Use Plastic Bottles
Green Refill
We provide free water filter pitchers and replacement filters to underserved Maryland households, reducing reliance on single-use plastic bottles. One household using a filter pitcher instead of bottled water can eliminate hundreds of plastic bottles per year from landfills and waterways.
School Sustainability Education
Green Sprouts
We bring hands-on environmental education directly into Maryland schools. Through interactive workshops, students learn about recycling, composting, waste reduction, and environmental stewardship. Every student leaves with a planter kit and a reusable water bottle.
EVOLVE TOMORROW PROGRAMS
Evolve Tomorrow: Building Lasting Foundations
Green Skills & Second-Chance Workforce Development
Strong Workforce
We provide free workforce training in sustainability operations, waste management, and green career fields for returning citizens and underserved Maryland residents. We combine classroom instruction with hands-on experience and direct connections to employment opportunities in the growing green economy.
Quarterly Neighborhood Clean-Up Events
Strong Blocks
We mobilize volunteers across Maryland communities for neighborhood-led clean-up events. We provide all supplies, coordinate logistics, and document environmental impact. Residents, volunteers, and corporate teams come together to remove litter, clear illegal dumping, and restore neighborhood pride block by block.
Donated Goods Redistribution Program
Surplus Forward
Through our partnership with White Oak Sustainability Group, we receive surplus food, decor, office supplies, and event materials from corporate and government events. These items are redistributed to Maryland families, schools, and community organizations while donors receive tax receipts.
